Harris and Vonleh head to NYC for draft

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two Big Ten stars with Hoosier ties are on their way to New York ahead of Thursday’s NBA draft.

Hamilton Southeastern graduate and Michigan State guard Garry Harris and IU freshman Noah Vonleh have impressed teams and scouts. Both are expected to go in the top ten.

The Pacers traded their first round pick in the Luis Scola deal, but it hasn’t changed their draft preparation.

“You always do your homework anyway,” Pacers head coach Frank Vogel told 24-Hour News 8. “You never know what’s going to happen in terms of acquiring first round picks or whatnot, so you do your homework. You study it. It’s a pretty good draft, so there’s some good players out there.”
