Driver arrested for driving recklessly on I-70

PUTNAM COUNTY (WISH) – Police arrested a driver who was traveling on I-70 westbound at a high rate of speed.

Dispatchers received several calls about a red Chevrolet Camero that was going around 100 miles per hour on the interstate.

The driver, Brandon G. Barngrover, 29, of Wilkinson, Ind. was spotted shortly after 11:45 a.m. Monday. An Indiana State Police trooper noticed Barngrover’s Camero near the 39 mile marker on I-70. The car was traveling at 100 mph through a construction zone. He was also passing drivers without using a turn signal.

The trooper was able to stop Barngrover near the 28 mile marker.
