INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – New details are still being released about the deadly Las Vegas shooting that involved Jerad and Amanda Miller from Lafaette, Ind.
On Monday Sheriff Douglas Gillespie released the details surrounding the events that took place that day.
On June 8 at 11:22 a.m. Las Vegas Police were called to a CiCi’s Pizza were two LVMD officers were shot inside the building in the 300 block of Nellis Boulevard.
Shots were reported five minutes later at a nearby Wal-Mart, where the shooters gunned down a person just inside the front door and exchanged gunfire with police.
Jerad and Amanda continued to the back of the store and broke into the ammunition case to reload their guns.
Officers arrived and attempted to engage with Jerad and Amanda. Amanda fired several shots at an officer and was then stuck in the shoulder.
The exchange of gunfire between responding officers and the Millers lasted about 15 minutes.
Jerad was fatally shot and Amanda shot herself in the head.
According to the investigation the Millers had several guns at the time of the shooting include a Ruger .38 Special hammerless revolver handgun, a Winchester Model 1300 Defender 12 gauge pistol grip pump shotgun, and a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
They also had two handguns with four magazines, both of the two handguns and magazines were used to kill Officers Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31 at the CiCi’s Pizza restaurant.
Also in the Millers possession were armor piercing ammunition, ready to eat meals and they were both wearing adult diapers.
