Power knocked out as storms move through

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Thousands of people in the Indianapolis metro area lost electricity early Monday night as storms moved through.

As of 6:15 p.m. Monday, Indianapolis Power and Light reported 9,353 customers were without power, which was an improvement from 45 minutes before that.

Duke Energy reported at the same time around 7,114 customers without power. Hamilton County was hit the hardest.
