Daniels discusses human space travel in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WISH) — Purdue University President Mitch Daniels is in Washington, D.C. Wednesday to testify in front on Congress.

Daniels and a director at Cornell University recently wrote a report looking at the importance of human space flight. Among other things, the report said NASA should focus on the first human flight to Mars, and that a return trip to the Moon could be part of the process.

The report found the biggest problem to reach Mars is picking a path and sticking with it through different presidents, congresses, and budgets.

Daniels also testified before a committee earlier this month.
