Two arrested after teen shot outside Anderson restaurant

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – Anderson police are investigating a shooting at a restaurant on Anderson’s southeast side early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the IHOP restaurant at East 53rd Street and Scatterfield Road around 2:45 Sunday morning where they found the 17-year-old victim shot in the parking lot.

Police say the victim was shot once in the chest.  He is currently in serious, but stable condition at an Indianapolis hospital.

Suspects matching the description were stopped by Hamilton County officers along I-69 later in the morning.

Four people were inside the car when it was stopped, but Anderson police say only two people face charges at this time.

Christopher L. McGregor, 19, has been charged with aiding, causing and inducing attempted murder.

Michael J. Wright, 18, has been charged with attempted murder.

Both suspects are from Indianapolis and both are on a 72 hour hold in the Madison County Jail pending formal charges
