INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Thunderstorms rumbling across Central Indiana early Tuesday caused tens of thousands of power outages.

Street and power crews immediately got busy as storms moved though. 24-Hour News 8 crews found trees down across power lines and a number of traffic lights out around Boone and Marion counties.

At the height of the storm, more than 20,000 people were without power.
