INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An overturned semi shut down part of Interstate 70 near downtown Indianapolis Tuesday morning.
It happened in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near the Interstate 65 north split. Four of the five eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed because of the crash near mile 83.3.
The semi was towing a flatbed trailer hauling metal and some of the load was in the median.
Police said around 8:40 a.m. that I-70 eastbound would be closed for two hours. Dispatchers with Indiana State Police said that traffic was able to get by on the left shoulder, but said that might be temporary.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
