Doctor sentenced in overprescribing case

KOKOMO, Ind. (WLFI) – The doctor who pleaded guilty for overprescribing drugs to patients has been sentenced.

Donald Wagoner, 78, received 30 years in the case. He was sentenced to two years in prison, eight years of home detention and 20 years probation for overprescribing drugs from clinics in Kokomo and Burlington.

Wagoner received a plea deal in late May, pleading guilty to seven felony drug dealing charges. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
