INDIANAPOLIS (ESPN) — Sources tell ESPN that the Indiana Pacers have offered shooting guard Lance Stephenson a five-year, $44 million contract.

The team has made no progress in reaching a new deal with Stephenson. Sources tell ESPN that Stephenson has not accepted the multi-million dollar offer because he believes he’s worth much more.

“Lance and his representatives aren’t sure they’re going to be able to reach an agreement with the Pacers,” a source told ESPN. “It’s clear they want him back and he wanted to go back, but they may not be able to come to terms.”

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls have already reached out to Stephenson’s agent, sources told ESPN.

According to ESPN, the Pacers hosted Stephenson and his family at a theater on Tuesday and surprised him with a movie about his life.
