AVON, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Avon are looking for a man wanted in connection to a series of burglaries in Indiana.

Arrest warrants have been issued for 53-year-old Indianapolis resident Anthony Wayne Reed.

Police responded to eight business burglaries in the early morning hours of June 29. Detectives say they found physical evidence that connected Reed to each of the scenes.

Detectives say they received information from police in Brownsburg and Westfield who say they have investigated Reed on burglary investigations before.

Police say Reed has two pending cases stemming from a string of business burglaries in December 2013. He is facing multiple burglary charges in Hamilton and Hendricks counties. He’s also served prison time for several burglaries and theft cases in Indiana.

“It’s unfortunate he is no stranger to these crimes,” said Avon Detective Brian Nugent.

Police say Reed was recently released from the Hamilton County Jail on June 19.

Anyone with information about Reed or where he may be is asked to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.

“It’s very important we locate him. He has shown no signs of slowing down or any plans to do so,” Nugent said.
