CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an ATV crash in Clay County that left one man dead.

Clay County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to County Road 200 West, just south of County Road 100 North around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Marsha Fulk told deputies that she and her husband were both riding separate ATVs when for an unknown reason, her husband, George Fulk, flipped his ATV.

Marsha said the ATV landed on top of him.

Fulk was taken by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital where he later died.

The investigation is ongoing, but police say alcohol is believed to be a factor. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
