Child brought to ER with gunshot wound

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Someone brought a child to the emergency room Monday afternoon because of a gunshot wound, police officials confirm.

The 4-year-old was shot in the arm and taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in stable condition.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say the 4-year-old may have been shot by another juvenile after the weapon was found at the home. The family is currently in the process of moving.

Police were at Timber Point Apartments investigating Monday afternoon. DCS will interview the children to find out the details of the incident.
