INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Friday’s funeral for fallen IMPD Officer Perry Renn hits close to home for the owner of the florist providing hundreds of white carnations to police officers.

Tiffany Wesseler, who owns Eagledale Florist, has had to call several suppliers to get the 1,600 flowers for the Fraternal Order of Police.

Wesseler is the daughter of a police officer and her brother is a paramedic, so this job is difficult to deal with for her.

“It’s not about the flower, it’s about the emotion that the flower will represent tomorrow and it’s time for everyone to wake up and realize that it’s time to know your neighbors and know where your children are, know who they’re hanging out with and take some responsibility,” Wesseler said.

The carnations will stay in water until they’re delivered to Bankers Life Fieldhouse Friday morning. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
