Two arrested after police find meth lab in Terre Haute apartment

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State Police Meth Suppression troopers and Vigo County Drug Task Force officers arrested two people Thursday morning on drug-related charges.

Just after 10 a.m., officials arrived at 2200 4th Avenue in Terre Haute after receiving community tips about a possible meth lab there.

An active one pot meth lab, evidence of previous labs and numerous other items associated with the production and use of meth were all found inside the apartment.

Shawn M. Ash, 26, of Terre Haute, was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors, maintaining a common nuisance and false informing. Ash was also wanted on a previous false informing charge out of Terre Haute.

Carla R. Bealmear, 35, of Terre Haute, was also arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors, maintaining a common nuisance and false informing.

Anyone with information concerning meth activity can submit tips to the Putnamville Post at (765) 653-4114. All tips will be investigated and callers can remain anonymous.
