INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A crash between a semi and another vehicle caused a major traffic back up on the east side of Indianapolis Friday morning.

The left three lanes of northbound Interstate 465 were closed near Interstate 70 due to the crash.

Chopper 8 flew over the scene and saw the semi had hit the median wall. Back-up from the crash stretched back to Interstate 74. 24-Hour News 8’s Troy Kehoe estimated the back-up was 6-7 miles long.

Dispatchers with Indiana State Police say only minor injuries were reported at the scene.

All lanes were re-opened around 8:10 a.m.
