INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Hundreds rallied for change while supporting law enforcement at Indy United on Monument Circle on Saturday.

Indy United was hosted by the city’s radio stations. The radio stations called on listeners to bring a cell phone, flashlight, lighter downtown for the vigil following a short program of special speakers including community leaders and clergy.

The goal was for people to lay aside their differences and support one another.

Mayor Greg Ballard spoke to the crowd on Saturday night. He also tweeted the following:

“Indy needs adults to grab at-risk young men by the scruff of the neck & guide them away from violence #indyunited” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
