One taken from crash via Lifeline air ambulance

JOHNSON COUNTY (WISH) – One person was injured following a crash on Wednesday morning.

The victim was taken to the hospital by Lifeline air ambulance after she was involved in a two vehicle crash in Johnson County on State Road 252 at I-65. The crash happened at 7:23 a.m.

According to initial reports 30-year-old Alicia Littlejohn was driving a 2003 Nissan. She was traveling eastbound on State Road 252, when she turned on to the northbound ramp for I-65. Littlejohn was struck by a dump truck operated by John Bense, 30.

Bense was traveling westbound on State Road 252 at I-65. His dump truck struck the passenger side door.

Littlejohn was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital with possible internal injuries. She was alert and talking when she was taken from the scene.

Bense was not injured. Citations had not been issued as of Wednesday afternoon.
