INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Residents on the near northeast side of Indianapolis heard gunshots early Friday and came outside to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Holloway Avenue shortly after 2 a.m.
Neighbors said they heard several gunshots and when they came outside they discovered a man in his mid 40s suffering from two gunshot wounds.
The man was lying in a vacant lot. Police say he had been shot once in the torso and once in the arm.
He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition. He was later reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators say they don’t have any suspect information and continue to look into what led up to the shooting.
