Robber tried to get away with liquor store cash drawer

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man from Indianapolis was arrested when he tried to steal a cash drawer from a liquor store.

24-Hour News 8’s news partner at the Daily Journal say 52-year-old Ronald Henderson was preliminarily charged with attempted robbery. A manager at the Superior Discount Beverage alerted police that Henderson tried to steal cash, and then flee the store.The store is located in the 1000 block of South US 31 in Greenwood.

According to the manager this is not the first robbery attempt by this man.

A police report said Henderson tried to take the cash drawer. However he missed and knocked it on the floor. He then ran to a nearby apartment complex.
