INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Fire officials said an elderly brother and sister have died after a house fire on the city’s south side on Saturday evening.

Indianapolis Fire Department crews were called to a home in the 2700 block of Duane Drive after neighbors reported a fire around 8:28 p.m.

Three victims were taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital. The victims included a 72-year-old Bettie D. Bradley and her 82-year-old brother Henderson Clayton Wyrick. Both of them were in wheelchairs, according to officials. Bradley’s 51-year-old son was also injured.

Fire officials said both Bradley and Wyrick died Sunday.

Bradley’s son is listed in good condition as of Sunday afternoon.
