INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis Public Schools vote on guns on school property had to be tabled tonight because there weren’t enough board members present.

The district was going to vote to allow guns in cars on school property under certain circumstances, which would bring IPS in line with current state law.

The school board was also supposed to vote on a written policy concerning metal detectors in schools.

The votes are now expected to take place next week.
