NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Police on Tuesday released the name of the man suspected of shooting his neighbor in the leg before turning the gun on himself Monday.

Noblesville Police Department officials said witnesses told them 53-year-old Nicholas J. Proctor shot his neighbor, Patricia Wagner, in the leg before going back into his home. Proctor spoke to negotiators at the scene for about 45 minutes. He then refused to talk with them further. A few hours after he stopped talking to police, they found him dead in his home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

While police officials said the case remains under investigation, they also said they were not looking for another suspect.

Wagner spoke to 24-Hour News 8 after the shooting. Click here to hear from her.
