North Vernon couple killed in Ohio crash

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio (WISH) — Ohio state troopers say a North Vernon, Ind. couple was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon.

The three-vehicle crash happened in Warren County’s Clearcreek Township, about 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati, 24-Hour News 8’s news partners at The Republic report.

State Highway Patrol officials say a 45-year-old Leesburg, Ohio woman failed to stop her car at an intersection and hit a large truck, forcing it into a head-on collision with a minivan, which was driven by 66-year-old Robert Large.

Robert Large and 66-year-old Margaret Large were killed in the crash.

The driver of the car was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital with serious injuries.
