Storms prompt area flood warnings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Heavy downpours that came with the storms on Wednesday prompted some flood warnings in Central Indiana.

A flood warning has been issued for Indianapolis and Marion County until 12:30 p.m.

Hancock, Johnson and Shelby counties are under a flood warning until 2:30 p.m. Decatur and Rush counties have a flood warning in effect until 3 p.m.

Most of Monroe County, parts of Greene County and northern Lawrence County have flood warnings in place until 3:30 p.m

Many streets may be covered in water. Drivers should not attempt to drive through water-covered roads.
