BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — A Monroe County court is considering whether to revoke rocker John Mellencamp’s son’s bond after he was arrested while another criminal case was pending.

Hud Mellencamp was arrested earlier this month on a Class C misdemeanor charge of illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Mellencamp surrendered for arrest last year on charges of punching and kicking a then-19-year-old man at a Bloomington house. Hud’s brother, Speck, was also arrested in the case.

During a hearing on Thursday for the original arrest, the possibility of Hud Mellencamp’s bond being revoked was discussed. No decision was made.

The next hearing in the case was scheduled for Aug. 21. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
