Colts training camp starts Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Colts players will hit the field at Anderson University Thursday for their first practice, and fans are invited to check it out.

Before heading to Anderson, fans are reminded that the NFL bag policy is in effect at camp too:

  • Coolers are not allowed.
  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags (12” x 6” x 12” or smaller) are allowed.
  • Small clutch bags, about the size of a hand, are allowed.
  • The only exceptions are for medical items.

Off the field, Colts City is open for most of camp. That’s a free area with inflatables for kids, the Play 60 Zone and cheerleaders will sign autographs.

Organizers say fans planning for this weekend have a lot of options.

“On Saturday, we have our kids day, so kids will have $2.50 lunches at the concession stand, so a great opportunity if you want to bring all the kids out,” Stephanie Pemberton with the Indianapolis Colts said. “Then we are also doing an Armed Forces Day on Sunday. So if you have a military ID, you’re going to receive discounted parking and concessions as well.”

A night practice is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, with open practice hours from 6:25-8:55 p.m.

Parking costs $5 per car or $20 per bus.

Camp runs through August 13.
