INDIANAPOLIS – Two brothers were arrested for a Thursday night shooting that injured an elderly woman.

19-year-old Shaun White of Indianapolis and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested for preliminary charges of attempted murder.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police detectives say they believe a third person, who was possibly injured, may have been involved. Detectives say the subject may have been arguing with the brothers. The argument may have prompted the shooting. Police have not been able to identify that subject as of Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened on Thursday afternoon around 4:30. When one officer arrived, he saw a person matching the description provided by dispatch, and got out of his car.

Police say the person fired at the officer, but didn’t hit him, and ran off.

87-year-old Sally Lisenby was hit by a bullet while sitting on her porch. She is still recovering at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.

IMPD said the investigation remains ongoing as of Friday.
