ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – Andrew Luck has impressed in each of his two years in the league, leading the Colts to 11 plus win seasons each year. Now in year three, the Colts think things will only get better.

“The game’s slowing down for Andrew,” said Colts head coach Chuck Pagano on day five of training camp. “The identification, getting us in the right place, getting us out of bad plays. He’s further ahead than he’s ever been.”

Luck has begun taking on an even bigger leadership role, helping install the playbook, something offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton challenged him to be able to do back in college.

“It’s nice sometimes for wide receivers, maybe, to be able to hear it from a different voice or a different person up there,” said Luck. “I do think teaching is a great way to learn something as well, a great way to memorize things. I know it’s helpful for me.”

The Colts have an extended break in the action. In addition to having Tuesday off, they held an extended morning practice on Monday, so players could have the evening off as well. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
