Greene Co. man hears formal charges for murder and rape

GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A Greene County, Indiana man accused of murder and rape heard his formal charges Monday.

Thirty-five-year-old Jason Lee Caldwell appeared in court Monday morning. Police say Caldwell fatally shot David Lamm July 18.

They say he also raped a woman. It happened in Solsberry, in rural Greene County. Court documents show Caldwell stole debit cards, guns, and a vehicle from the Lamm’s home.

He faces nine charges including murder and rape. Caldwell is due back in court Sept. 15.
