INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The state is reminding Hoosiers they might have money or property that’s owed to them.
Indiana’s Attorney General Greg Zoeller was able to give a woman a big chunk of money on Monday.
Greg Zoeller says there’s more than 148-million dollars in lost and forgotten funds in central Indiana alone.
Right now the state is promoting the state’s “Indiana Unclaimed” website through newspaper T-V and radio ads, where 33 million dollars has already been returned this year alone.
There’s 72-million dollars in unclaimed property in Marion County alone.
If residents don’t claim it after 25 years on the list it will go back to the state.
