FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — A mother and teacher who was killed will be honored with a church service Monday night.

Shannon Hall, 40, was shot to death Sunday night in a home in the 4600 block of Somerset Way South in Carmel. Preliminarily, investigators said her ex-husband, 38-year-old David Hall, shot her before turning the gun on himself. Police said both of them were pronounced dead on the scene.

Hall was a second grade teacher at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School in Fishers for more than 10 years. A meeting was held there Monday morning to inform staff members of her death.

A public service is scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road, in Fishers.

24-Hour News 8 spoke with Hall’s sister, who also is a teacher at the school. She described Hall as a patient and loving teacher who cared very much for her students. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
