CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The 15-year-old boy that was pulled from a Frankfort pool Monday has died.
It has been confirmed the Adrian Alanis, 15, passed away Tuesday afternoon following the incident Monday at the TPA Swimming Pool in Frankfort. No other information is available at this time as the case is still under investigation.
Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes released this statement to News 18 regarding the incident:
“Sadly, we have learned that 15-year-old Adrian Alanis passed away this afternoon following the tragic incident yesterday at the TPA Pool. Because Frankfort police still are investigating the situation, there will be no other statements made by my office or any other city officials at this time.”
Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon told News 18 Monday, the incident happened around 1:50 p.m. Monday at the TPA Swimming Pool in Frankfort. He said an unresponsive 15-year-old male was located in the deep end. He said lifeguards were able to pull the young man from the water and started CPR immediately. He was taken to a Frankfort Hospital and later airlifted to Indianapolis.
Last July, an 8 year-old-girl had to be airlifted after nearly drowning at the TPA pool. She was released from the hospital the next day and thanked the pool’s lifeguards for saving her life.
