INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An IMPD officer has submitted his resignation after getting his second operating a vehicle while intoxicated charge in the span of one year.

Kevin E. Brown was a 16-year veteran with IMPD who was arrested early Monday morning in Morgan County.

Last August, police say Brown went to the emergency room because he said he hurt his hand at a bar. Two Morgan County deputies thought he was drunk and tried to stop him from driving off.

In the most recent arrest, court documents say Brown had a .09 percent BAC when officers tested him.

Brown faces a judge in this latest case in September.
