INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police evacuated homes on Indy’s east side Thursday night after a police chase ended with a car rupturing a gas line.

According to IMPD, a car was pulled over during a traffic stop but the driver fled, leading police on a pursuit. The car then hit a vacant house which ruptured a gas line in an alley near 23rd and Winthrop.
