Eric Mehl, MCC Assistant Director and Pro Flowboarder Nick Nguyen has details to FlowRider® Pro/AM Competition.
Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation continues bringing the California lifestyle to Indiana by hosting a local FlowRider® Pro/AM Competition. As FlowRiders pop up on cruise ships and quickly spread across the country, flowboarding is becoming one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
With 30 mph rushing waves hitting your face and the feeling of surfing in the Pacific, thrill seekers are anxiously awaiting a time to show off their skills.
Join them on Saturday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m. for Carmel’s premier competition featuring some of Central Indiana’s best amateur riders. This competition is a unique way to showcase the sport and accommodates the drive for competition.
During the competition, each rider is given three runs; their top two scores count for their total score. The judges base the rider’s score on difficulty, execution and overall impression. Top riders in each division will receive a medal.
Practice/Warm-Ups/Check-in: 8:30 a.m.
Event Start: 10:30 a.m.
Event Fee: $35 for Pro Division; $25 for Amateur Division
Food trucks will also be present during the event. Satisfy your hunger by hitting up The NY Slice, DaBlue Lagoon, and Aunt Jean’s Fun Foods (Kettle Korn). Yum!
Register online at carmelclayparks.com in the division in which you aim to compete.
