INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis community leaders came together to promote peace and good health on Saturday.
Circle Up Indy held a peace festival, alongside a health fair put on by Community Hospital East.
Community East offered things like health screenings and sports physicals. Circle Up was there to bridge communities through education, health, mentorship and employment.
“So, we want to bring the community together so they can stop being afraid and start standing up. Take the community back. This is for you,” James Wilson, Circle Up Indy CEO/President, said on Saturday.
The festival was held in the Martindale-Brightwood Neighborhood.
Everything was free, including food and even Indy Go bus passes.
