Broad Ripple hosts Red Bull Mini Moto

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Six lucky drivers won bragging rights at the 2014 Broad Ripple Red Bull Mini Moto on Sunday.

Two-person teams took turns taking laps on Broad Ripple between Guilford and Carrolton Avenues. The mini bikes reach 35 miles per hour.

The top three teams won tickets to next weekend’s Red Bull Indianapolis GP.

The Red Bull Indianapolis GP is the 10th round of the MotoGP World Championship, the most prestigious motorcycle road racing series in the world. It has taken place annually since 2008 on the 16-turn, 2.591-mile road circuit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that incorporates part of the Speedway’s famous oval.
