INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A car crash knocked out electricity to hundreds of Indianapolis Power and Light customers Monday afternoon, officials with the power company confirm.

As many as 976 customers lost power, according to IPL, and the majority of the outages were on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Part of the outage included traffic lights along 86th Street.

IPL officials said as of 4 p.m. their crews were working to restore power as quickly as possible.
