FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) — Changes are coming to the TPA Swimming Pool in Frankfort, just one week after a 15-year-old boy drowned there.
Officials said a new emergency action plan protocol, a written emergency action plan, is currently being developed for the TPA Pool.
Another change will be new rotation protocol. Using the concept of eyes on the water at all times, officials said a new rotation protocol will be implemented for lifeguards where a minimum of three lifeguards will be on duty at all times.
They are also working on new testing and training protocols as well as new air and water temperature protocol. The country’s leading Olympic-size pool maintenance company, Spear Corporation, services the TPA Pool.
