Fortville police up in arms over pension fund problems

FORTVILLE, Ind. (WISH) Police officers in Fortville are asking, where’s their money?

At Monday night’s regular town meeting, council members asked the clerk treasurer what’s been done with the police pension funds. They say money’s been pulled out of officer’s salaries for pensions since June, but that nothing has been deposited into their pension fund.

Monday, the clerk blamed software issues on the missing money. The police chief said he checked with the company and they say there have not been any problems.

The clerk said she’ll be writing a check on Tuesday to get the pension funds in order.
