INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Fire officials say 10 people were displaced after a house fire on the south side of Indianapolis Tuesday night.

Firefighters responded to the scene in the 1800 block of Calvin Street just around 10:15 p.m. At first it was reported there might be someone trapped inside the home, but no one was located.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in 25 minutes. They found no working smoke detectors in the home.

IFD Victims Assistance was called to help the 10 people who were displaced as a result of the fire. A woman and seven children, including three sets of twins, live in the home. The house is also occupied by a man and 4-year-old child.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damages to the home are estimated at $100,000.
