The State Fair is Indiana’s signature event and the best example of “Honest-to-Goodness Indiana.” The fair is a showcase of Hoosier agriculture which is Indiana’s calling card and an important part of Indiana’s heritage and economy. The Lt. Governor’s Hoosier Hospitality Awards and Will Koch tourism leadership award will be presented at the fair on Aug 15 First time having awards at the fair.

Awards are used to recognize exceptional service by frontline employees in tourism industry Koch award is the state’s highest recognition for tourism and goes to an industry leader that has made invaluable contributions to the industry over his/her career.

Named in honor of Will Koch, former president of Holiday World 2 of Indiana’s largest industry- tourism and agriculture- are on display here The fair is fun, but it is also an important economic development tool.
