Driver dies, passenger badly hurt in Carmel crash

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — One person died and another person was badly injured when an SUV lost control in Carmel and hit a brick office building.

The incident happened just before 2 p.m. Wednesday near 106th and Pennsylvania streets. Carmel Police Department officials said the 1997 Ford Expedition’s driver died at the scene. His passenger was taken to St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in critical condition.

Police have identified the driver as William J. Camblor, 68, of Carmel.  The passenger was Sandra L. Grochow, 63, of Carmel.
