INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An event held in downtown Indianapolis on Thursday is aimed at connecting neighbors and Indianapolis first responders.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Downtown District’s yearly Community Day is Thursday. The event is scheduled to last until 2 p.m. on Georgia Street.

Visitors are welcomed to enjoy free food samples from downtown restaurants. The annual event also features a rib cook-off and a doughnut eating contest — contestants will have three minutes to eat as many as possible.
