Teen injured after crashing moped into puppy

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police said a teenager was injured after he crashed his moped into a puppy that had ran into the road.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Dalton Reagan, 17, of Anderson, was driving a moped westbound on CR 375 North when a puppy ran out into the roadway in front of the moped. Reagan hit the puppy and crashed.

Police said Reagan suffered road rash and a possible head injury. He was not wearing a helmet. Reagan was taken to Community Hospital.

The puppy’s owner, Tara Robb, of Anderson, was cited under the county ordinance 78-1 for allowing the dog to run loose unconfined, according to police.
