HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer who was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated has bonded out of jail.
Hamilton County Jail officials said IMPD Officer Allen Johnson bonded out around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Police said Johnson was arrested after IMPD received an “off-duty allegation” that he was driving a personally-owned vehicle while under the influence in Fishers early Friday morning.
This is Johnson’s second DUI arrest. His first arrest was in November 2012, according to IMPD officials.
Johnson was suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
