One dead, one injured in Madison County crash

MADISON COUNTY (WISH) – One person has died and another was taken to the hospital following a two vehicle crash on Monday.

Police responded to the intersection of County Road 400 North and County Road 700 West just before 5:30 p.m.

According to Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson a 1998 Saturn passenger vehicle was driving south on County Road 700 West and failed to stop at the stop sign at County Road 400 North. The car was hit on the driver side door by a 2006 GMC pickup truck driven by David Crawley, 62, of Noblesville.

Richardson was taken to Community Hospital in Anderson. The driver of the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene.
