Police arrest man for staging robbery report

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – Police arrest a man for conspiring with another man to stage a robbery report.

On August 7, around 1:53 a.m. Franklin Police were called to the 200 block of West Jefferson Street at the Admiral Petroleum for an armed robbery complaint. The clerk told officers they were robbed by a male with a gun, but the clerk told police no gun was displayed during the robbery. The suspect wanted money and cigarettes.

Police say they arrested Joel Glassburn, 22, on August 12 for conspiring with another 20-year-old for staging the robbery reported.

Glassburn the store clerk was arrest for theft and false reporting. The accomplice is still under investigation.
