Wanted man arrested in Miami County

BUNKER HILL, Ind. (WISH) – A manhunt for a man wanted on two felony warrants came to an end on Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m.

Indiana State Police say they took 38-year-old Roy Purdon of Kokomo, Ind. into custody near Miami County Road 500 South.

Police got word that Purdon was in the area of Strawtown Pike and County Road 500 South. Purdon was spotted walking on Strawtown Pike. State Police were able to take him into custody without incident.

Purdon was wanted for an armed robbery in Columbus Ohio and for receiving stolen property in Howard County. Police say he also fled a Miami County Deputy on Tuesday evening.

Purdon was taken to the Howard County Jail and held without bond.
